Xiaomi patents new mask with improved fit and protection

Chinese electronics brand Xiaomi revealed its mask earlier this year as a coronavirus disease spread in China. The brand is now licensed for new patents. The new patent was granted on March 17, 2020. The new mask has a 3D-supported skeleton that would be better on most faces.

In addition, the skeleton design is made of flexible plastic. This allows the mask to be adjustable and it can now fit properly on different face shapes. Another improvement in the new mask is better air restriction. The mask improves air sealing around the user’s mouth. This further reduces the likelihood of a user contracting an aerial contract like the ongoing COVID-19 virus.

“At Xiaomi India, we have taken a number of precautionary measures such as business trips and outdoor meetings, ensuring that employees and all partners wear masks in public and keep their hands clean and hygienic,” said Manu Jain

“Across all Mi Homes, we have activated the service delivery on call” service, allowing users to call their nearest Mi Home and order their preferred smartphone for home delivery. All MI Home staff also wear masks all the time and keep their hands clean for walk-in customers, ”said Jain.
