Wipro to use Google Cloud for digital shift of enterprises

Global software major Wipro on Thursday said it has widely adopted partnerships with search engine Behemoth Google to accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises through adoption.

“By collaborating with Google Cloud, we will catalyze innovation in industry verticals such as consumer goods, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), semiconductor and healthcare,” an IT chief in the city said in a statement here.

Google’s cloud platform is a suite of computing services that runs on the infrastructure it uses internally for its end-user products Google Search and YouTube.

“We leverage the Google Cloud Platform to build solutions and capabilities to help enterprises in their cloud journey,” the statement said.

Software vendor solutions are embedded at their core with Google Cloud technologies, which will enable enterprises to validate their IT investments in the future.

“Our data discovery platform accelerates insight-driven decision-making through pre-built applications for verticals such as BFSI, Retail, Energy, Education and Manufacturing,” the statement said.

The outsourcing firm will also integrate Google’s open platform Anthos to manage applications in a multi-cloud world and enable hybrid cloud deployment for its customers.

“Our offerings at Google Cloud are innovation-focused. We equip our clients with the right tools to work on modern IT infrastructure, take the first business-first ‘approach and prepare for the future, ”said Ripesh Nagarajan, vice president of cloud services, Wipro.

Wipro aims to enable its customers to migrate faster, enhance their digital experiences and optimize business results.

In a statement, Kevin Ichhapurani, vice president of Google ecosystem, said, “Wipro’s expertise in digital transformation solutions will be an asset for enterprise customers as they carry significant workloads to our cloud platform.”
