WhatsApp’s Android and iOS apps stack the two stickers in a single line if they are sent in quick succession. Stacking two stickers saves space on the screen, and even though it’s not functionally very useful, it’s still a neat addition. The sticker stacking feature, or grouped sticker, is now reportedly rolling out for WhatsApp’s web clients as well. WhatsApp has been working on the feature since August, and now has finally started rolling out grouped stickers to users via a static channel for the messaging app’s web client.
WABetaInfo recently tweeted that grouped stickers for WhatsApp Web are now available. But to enable the sticker stacking feature, users have to close and then restart the window in which a WhatsApp web session is activated. However, it appears that the grouped sticker feature is being rolled out in a phased manner and will reach users over the coming weeks.
