The micro-blogging website Twitter has announced that it will start experimenting with a new feature that will let users hide replies to their tweets. The experimental feature, which was originally revealed in Feb 2019, will go live in June 2019.
The Hide Replies feature will allow users to hide any replies that seems inappropriate. For now users doesn’t have any controls over any replies in their tweets, but now twitter is giving users some control over replies of their tweets.
This new feature, will help Twitter users to hide abusive or spamy replies from showing up on their conversations.
According to a blog post on Tuesday, Twitter shared the progress it has made so far in fighting abuse and spam on its platform. Twitter says 38% of abusive content that’s enforced is now being handled proactively by the company’s teams, instead of relying on others to report them.
Twitter also said, that it has suspended apx 100,000 accounts for creating new accounts after they were suspended during the first three months of 2019.
