American Technology firm Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Paul jobs Known as Steve Jobs along with Steve WoZniak.
He was born in San Francisco, California, US on Feb 24, 1955. His father was a mechanic and craftsman, and often rebuilt cars on his weekends. He was also a big inspiration for Steve Jobs who taught him the importance of paying attention in details, as explained by Schlender and Tetzeli.
After completing his high school, he got himself enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. However he left the college very soon. In 1974, Steve Jobs started working as a video game designer with Atari.
In 1976, after the computer logic board designed by Steve Woznaik was rejected by the Hewlett-Packard company, he suggested the two to come together in business. First Apple computer, Apple I was built using the money obtained from selling Jobs’s Volkswagen minibus and Wozniak’s programmable calculator.
The Apple II was the improved version of Apple I, which came with a sleek design and a complete keyboard in 1977 and the same year the Apple computer was formally incorporated. In 1981. Apple computer reported a record public stock offering and became the fastest growing company to enter Fortune 500 list in 1983.
After a scuffle with the Apple board, Steve Jobs left the Apple computers company in 1985, and he started another firm NeXT, a workstation computer for education market. In 1986, he also acquired the computer graphics firm Pixar.
Steve’s second stint at Apple started in 1996 which still manufactured computer only, In 2001, Apple iPod was launched which was followed by Apple iPhone in 2007.
Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic caner in 2003 and went under a major reconstructive surgery in 2004. He resigned as a Apple CEO in August 2011, and died at the age of 56 on October 5, 2011.
