According to the e-commerce player, Snapdeal has surpassed 100 million app downloads on the Google Play Store on Monday, up 37 percent from 73 million downloads a year earlier.
In October 2019, Snapdeal’s monthly traffic crossed the 240 million mark, the company claimed, an all-time high for the platform. He said that there has been an increase of 52 percent in this festive season, while 90 percent orders are coming from non-metro users.
The company said Snapdeal’s growth is also due to its focus on value-based merchandise.
“100 million Android app downloads are a reflection of our leadership and a nuanced understanding of India-centric e-commerce. We are delighted that our efforts to improve access, convenience and value for millions of users across India are further deepening the growth of the e-commerce market in India ”, Snapdeal said.
Over the past two years, Snapdeal has added more than 60,000 new seller partners, adding more than 50 million new listings aimed at building an in-depth assortment of relevant products for value-savvy buyers.
Snapdeal has more than 500,000 registered sellers, with more than 200 million listings on the marketplace, the company claims.
