Royole FlexPai 2 Foldable Phone Launched With Improved Display & Processor

Chinese smartphone maker Royole launched through an online-only event on Wednesday, through an online-only event that showcased the third-generation Cicada Wing Flexible Display, which was on the previous model Considerable improvements were made when available. The company claims that the new display panel has a bend radius of 1 mm, which is below the 3 mm radius over its predecessor. However, it can still bend over 200,000. The Royole Flexpai 2 also features enhanced performance through a top-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.

Royole Flexpai 2 Price
The price of the Roole Flexpai 2 is yet to be revealed. However, this is likely to be in line with the price of the first generation Royole Flexpai which was set to reach global markets at around $ 1,600 (about Rs. 1,21,700). Details regarding the availability of the new phone have not been announced, although it is expected to debut in the second quarter of this year.

The USP of the Royole Flexpai 2 is the third-generation Cicada Wing Fully Flexible Display (FFD) panel that has undergone a comprehensive technological upgrade. It comes below a JNCD (Just Notable Color Difference) 0.6, plus 0.4ms with a 1.2 times faster response time. The display has also claimed 1.5 times better brightness loss. Unlike other foldable displays, Royol said its offering offers a low crease effect, thanks to its mirror-like smooth structure that is made of more than 100 micro-nano materials.

Royole mentioned that he used his proprietary OLED technology that eliminates the effect of layer peeling that can be seen on other foldable display panels.

The display panel comes with a size of 7.8 inches on Flexpai and in the ratio of 4: 3 on the front. It is also claimed to have 1.3x better color gamut and 500x better contrast over traditional high-end LCD panels.
