Realme 6, the successor to Realme 5, may be in development. Oppo’s former sub-brand Realme X2 Pro is set to launch on 20 November. It will launch Realme XT with Snapdragon 730G SoC in December. But it seems that the company is preparing to launch the successor Realme 5 series soon. Prior to its launch, the alleged retail box of the smartphone has surfaced online. It appears that the series will be about the leap to pinta-camera setup.
With Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, the company made a leap for quad camera systems. This update may take a leap for Penta-camera setup with processors. The retail box may have surfaced online may not be authentic, but the tipster claims that Realme 6 will cost RMB 1,000 (about Rs 10,000). It is also tipped to launch in 2020. Leaked images of Realme 6 also show the full face of the device. It gives hints ranging from watermark knots to punch hole display designs.
The leaked photos reveal that Realme 6 will have a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. Bezels have also been trimmed around the screen, but the chin is larger. This suggests that the smartphone will be another budget offer. It seems that the smartphone is in the testing phase as one of the devices in the image is running Android, the AOSP version of Google’s mobile operating system. Some other details, such as the ColorOS version, have been blurred into one device.
One of the images also shows the settings page in Chinese languages. However, it does not reveal any specification other than support for dual-SIM connectivity. The Realme 5 series was launched within months after the launch of the Realme 3 series. It is likely that the Realme 6 series will be launched in the next few months. The company seems to have another substantial upgrade, which has seen a huge growth in the market.
