ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia’s upcoming gaming smartphone Nubia Red Magic 5G has already created a lot of hype about it with its impressive specifications and design. Now, an alleged live image of the phone has surfaced online due to the benchmarking website. The image shows a dual tone combining blue and pink. Since it is a close-up picture of the phone, it also shows the 5G badge on the blue side and the text ‘Red Magic’ published on the central black strip. Additionally, the website has shared some FPS numbers from the games tested on pre-release Red Magic 5G.
In the image shared by the game bench, the big on X ‘is clearly visible on the back of the phone and has a mesh like pattern between the X’ and the black bar. The pogo connector, ventilation grille and red alert slider appear on the left side or blue side of the phone. The rear three cameras are also clearly visible and interestingly, the top two sensors are slightly raised above the body while the third sensor is flush with it. The flash is placed above the top camera.
The recent TENAA listing of Red Magic 5G featured both sides of the phone. The right or red side has capacitive shoulder buttons, ventilation grills, power buttons, and volume rockers.
For performance, the game bench also tested some games on the phone as it is a 144Hz display, which will likely be the first time in a smartphone. Real Racing 3 on Red Magic 5G reportedly gave an average frame rate of 144fps. The game for Shanti, which is the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile, runs at an average frame rate of 90fps. It also tested the Honor of Kings, the Chinese version of Arena of Velor, and has a median and a minimum of 60fps as the game bench was unable to unlock modes greater than 60fps. Nevertheless, there is great news for gamers.
The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC, and will pack 16GB of RAM, 256GB of onboard storage, and Android 10, as previously revealed by Nubia co-founder and President Ni Fei. There can be many storage variants of the phone.
