JioFiber Set-Top Box Adds Amazon Prime Video Streaming Support

The JioFiber set-top box has finally introduced Amazon Prime Video support in its list of OTT apps. Amazon Prime Video support is missing since the JioFiber launch last year. The video-on-demand app now appears in the list of OTT apps on JioFiber-enabled TV sets. To use Amazon Prime video content, JioFiber users still have to subscribe to Amazon Prime, because Jio is not offering this to its users for free.

There is still no support for Netflix, but Jio may offer it in the future. The Android TV-based set-top box runs on Android 9, and comes pre-installed on all Jio Movies such as Jio Cinema and Saavn. It comes with a remote that supports voice control, and live TV channels are currently viewable via the web using the TV Plus app.
