TikTok Pro Malware, which can steal your phone information, is being spread on WhatsApp through a fake WhatsApp group, which is being shut down as TikTok, warns Maharashtra cyber cell. Indians are eager to withdraw it after downloading the government-banned app from a link shared on WhatsApp groups, and this is making them vulnerable to malware. This new scam takes advantage of those whose favorite apps in India were recently removed following a ban on 59 Chinese apps, including Tiktok, Sheen, Club Factory, and many more.
The Maharashtra government has issued a cautionary warning to users against this malware app as it steals sensitive information from your phone ‘. The TikTok Pro malware app looks similar to the original TikTok app. It asks for permission for camera, image gallery, mic, among other things.
While many of the government-restricted 59 apps had too many users, none were as popular as Tiktok, and in its absence, many Indian alternatives are trying to build a user base. Not only this, but Facebook’s Instagram also launched its TikTok option, Reels in India. Despite this, the government had to warn people about this malware how popular Tiktok is in India.

Maharashtra Cyber Cell tweeted and warned people about this new Tiktok scam. Government advisors say that people are now taking advantage of TikTok’s popularity by promoting a malware app called TikTok Pro. The culprits are telling Tiktok Pro the option of a restricted app. They are sending text messages through various social media platforms, encouraging users to download the app from external links. The message vaguely reads, “Enjoy the TikTok video and re-create the creative video as well. Now TikTok is only available in (Tiktok pro) so download from below: link. “The government advised citizens not to click on the link to the banned apps or download any APK file as they could be sources of malware.
