Facebook and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are working together on an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for the popular online video game ‘Minecraft’.
MIT Technology Review on Thursday aims to develop an AI system that can help people multi-task and perform everyday tasks outside of the gaming environment.
Researchers said they chose ‘ec minecraft’ because it is one of the most popular games in the world, with more than 90 million people playing it every month and has “infinite variety” but simple predictive rules.
The report states, “The opportunities for AI learning are enormous. Facebook is doing the job of designing AI itself for self-improvement, with researchers believing that ‘Minecraft’ is the way to develop this kind of learning.” The atmosphere is absolutely right. ”
According to the researchers, there is a huge opportunity for AI assistants to learn inside ‘Minecraft’ and it can help human players to gain more knowledge.
