Apple Music for Android Update Brings Chromecast Support and More

The Apple Music app on Android finally got Chromecast support. Users can now easily show their music in Chromecast speakers by tapping on the new cast icon that shows if there is a device nearby, on the same network. This support comes with the latest updates on Google Play, as well as a new dark mode and live song feature. This update also brings the ability to access live radio stations around the world broadcast from Tune In, Radio.com and iHeartRadio.

To be able to use the Chromecast feature, you will need to update to the latest version of Apple Music. Apple says you will need Android 5.0 Lollipop or later Android phone or tablet, or a Chromebook supporting Android apps to use this feature. Once the update is installed, reboot the app, and a new Cast icon now appears if your phone has a Chromecast device nearby on the same Wi-Fi network. The feature also works with Google Home and assistant-compatible speakers. This development was first reported by Android Police.

iOS 13 brings support for real-time lyrics and dark mode on Apple-Music, and now these features are also available on the Android app. The song is featured all over the screen, allowing the user to sing in a karaoke-style manner. Users can scroll down and tap a specific word in the song to leave the song in a specific position. This feature is available on select songs only. You can download the latest version of Apple Music on the Google Play Store.
