Apple Clips App Updated to Include Memoji, New Stickers, and More

Apple’s free video creation app Clips has been updated for the iPhone and iPad with new Animoji and Memoji support. This update includes animated stickers and emojis that can “follow the movements of the user’s face” in a video captured with the camera facing the device.

“Users can now easily share personal video messages, slideshows, school projects and mini-movies with more personality than before. Animated stickers and emoji now allow users to have fun selfie videos using the front-facing camera on iPhone and iPad Can follow facial movements., “The company said in a statement on Thursday.

The new update also introduces new stickers featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with a new winter-themed poster. Clips require a device with the TrueDepth camera using Animoji and Memoji.

The Clips app is a video editing app that allows users to combine video-clips, pictures and photos to create voice-based titles, stickers, music and more unique videos that can be shared across social media platforms.

Clips 2.1 is available as a free update on the App Store and is compatible with iPhone 6 or iPhone SE or later, iPad Air 2 or later and iPod Touch (7th generation), iOS 13 or later and IPadOS 13 or later.

The new Animoji and Memoji features with the Selfie Scenes feature require an iPhone or iPad Pro with a True Depth camera.
