Apex Legends is a relatively new entry into the entire Battle Royal gaming space. However, EA and Response Entertainment worked hard to integrate notable gameplay and settings, which helped to gain 50 million users a month after launch. The game’s developers initially stated that they had no plans to bring the title to the mobile game and that it would be limited to PC, PS and Xbox. Later, it seems that the companies realized the potential in mobile gaming and in May this year, it confirmed that Apex Legends would also be released for mobile. Now, in his Q2 2020 earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said, “We are expanding our Apex Legends team to deliver our content plans for FY 2015 and new audiences across mobile and across Asia Will reach. ”
While there is still no concrete date to announce the mobile version of Apex Legends, we now have at least a timeframe of when it should be expected. In addition to a possible launch timeline, the company also revealed that the first-person shooter Battle Royal Title has over 70 million players.
“We are expanding our Apex Legends team to provide our content plans for FY 2015 and will reach new audiences across mobile and across Asia … Mobile development ramps up our new plants titled Versus Zombies, Games on Mobile, Will be powered by, including FIFA Mobile and Apex Legends in Asia, offset by aging titles elsewhere in our portfolio, ”says EA.
